A very specific, quite niche inspiration for a song, Landon Lloyd Miller has taken the final scene of True Detective season one and turned it into his latest single: ‘Light Is Growing’. The end result is basically a country song that wears his Louisiana roots on its sleeve. “I drew some inspiration from the last scene of True Detective season one,” he says. “The main character, Ruston, comments that space started as just blackness and now there are stars shining and even though it's still a big blackness the light seems to be winning.” Be on the lookout for more from this impressive singer-songwriter. -Dan Peeke
